Well, autumn is here and the weather has been perfect up till now! So are the autumn clothes hitting the stores with more coming as it gets colder. Standing out are the luxurious fabrics that will have you wanting to curl up and hibernate until the end of winter!
The list is quite long in terms of ‘new looks’, however we did see similar last year. Perhaps go back to your wardrobe and pull out what you already have and simply add a piece or two of new just to bring it up-to-date. A great example is the classic wool cable knit jumper. The current look is very over sized with big turtle necks. This will look great with your tapered and slimline trousers.
Ankle boots are still here, so are fur vests, trench coats, capes, boyfriend jackets and jeans, slouch cargo style pants, distressed jeans, leather and pleather skinny pants. Look out for thigh high boots as they seem to be making a come back also!
The mood for autumn 2015 will be a sporty verses neat appeal, and particularly for outerwear. We’re seeing lots of long over sized masculine knits, and jackets in long and short sleeves. Long line cardigans are also here for autumn, so hunt for one in a neutral for easy mix and match and creating a column of colour.
Look for parka’s and warm knits like the throw-on blanket coat or serape – fringing is huge also. Poncho’s are in, as is slouch cardi’s, duster coats and long line waterfall jackets. If you spot a duffel coat that echoes the 60’s, grab one as we’ll see these for autumn.
